Well this week was super awesome. On Tuesday we traveled up to the north district for intercambios. I was with an argetine on Tuesday named elder guirin. It was super fun I learned a ton!! He’s a super cool kid. We talked with a ton of people and found some really cool people. we talked to some guy for like 20 minutes at his door about how there is a god and that we can’t see him just like we can’t see wind but we can see what god causes and we can see what wind causes like the swaying of trees etc. he said that the bible is true but he doesn’t believe in god nor jesus?¿?? I don’t understand that. All I did was testify that god loved him and that he wants to help him in this life but he didn’t accept. That’s okay one day he will accept. We also talked with some lady that wondered why we don’t believe in gays if god and Jesus made Adam. Crazy people. We explained everything and she said we could pass by. Ha-ha. On Wednesday we had another intercambio but in our area.
On the way back to pinamar the bus got a flat tire and we were stuck in the bus in the middle of nowhere for 3 hours. So frustrating. Luckily we got there just in time for lunch. I was with elder palevecino from Tucuman northern Argentina. He is awesome!! We talked with soooo many people and placed a few copies of the book of Mormon. We also thought one of our investigators and after the prayer I told him to open my book of Mormon to a page and that was the page that was for him. He opened up to enter 12 verse 27. Our weaknesses can become strengths if we humble ourselves before god. He is struggling with drinking and I think that was the perfect verse for him. On Thursday we traveled to Quilmes and in the night we had a turkey dinner for thanksgiving. We bought a turkey and 4 kilos of papas. Ha-ha. After the prayer we went around a few times saying what we are grateful for. at the dinner was elder Littlefield from las Vegas, elder shouldered from Huntington beach Cali, elder smith from Montana, elder Keeley from Arizona and me and my comp. everyone started off saying all of the foods they are grateful for such as mountain dew, turkey, five guys, chick fil a, Texas roadhouse, and then it went to activities such as football baseball rugby skiing hahahaha and then things such as classic skating, video games, friends, family. It was super funny to hear all of the things they are grateful for!! It was super fun. On Friday we had leadership council and we also had turkey dinner but way better and way bigger. Turkey, rolls, mashed potatoes, and salad. Hermana Nunez cooked for us!! It was really good.
Friday night we ate with some members in Quilmes where the offices are and it was super awesome. The member bought 9 kilos of chicken wings and we went to town on them. Super rice. Also mom I got your packages thank you so much I love candy. I love teriyaki sauce as well. Oh man it was amazing to receive something from home!!! Saturday we came home and worked the day and then yesterday as well worked a lot. So super fun week. Lots of traveling but also lots of work. We are super pumped for this week. This week could be my last week here in the coast!! Crazy how time flies. I guess we will see where I go next week!!! Love you guys have a great week!"

Well family this week was super awesome!! On Monday we went to Santa Teresita at night and had intercambios on Tuesday. We also went to Elder Henness´s district meeting. I had intercambios with elder moreira from sao paulo and we worked a tonnnnnnnn. We gifted 27 Books of Mormon and talked with EVERY person we saw. It was one of the greatest days of my mission by far. We found tons of people and more than anything it was awesome knocking doors and preaching about the Book of Mormon and how it will bless our lives in so many ways. Also we talked to some guy who they had given a Book of Mormon away a week ago and he had already read until 2 nefi 3. He’s awesome. On Wednesday morning it was pouring super super hard but igual we went out and worked and gifted 7 more Books of Mormon in the rain. We got super soaked but it was still awesome and we had a smile on our faces the whole entire time. Around noon we went to quilmes 5 hour bus ride. When we got there we went and got food and went to sleep with the assistants. We bought frozen hamburgers from coto and heated them up in the pan with some lettuce tomato and ketchup and woah was it great. We will be eating that more.
On Thursday we went super early to berazetegui where there is a big stake center. Elder Rasband showed up around 10 with Elder Christensen 70 president, Elder Texeira area president and a few other people. It was sooooo amazing. Elder Rasband is super awesome and at the first we got to shake his hand!! I was thinking about what I was gonna tell him when I was waiting in line and had something to say and I forgot everything when I got to him and all I said was ¨ good day¨ he looked at me funny and said good morning hahahaha. I ruined my big shot to be his body guard in the future. geeeshhh. After that we got to talk with all of our buddy’s for a while. I saw Elder Harrison after like 8 months!! He’s awesome. Also elder milne elder jaramillo and a bunch of my buddy’s from here in the mission!! Right after we traveled back to the coast. 5 hours. I got to talk to the bus driver for about an hour about what he believes in and also I talked to him about our beliefs and the Book of Mormon and also family history. He loved it and said he would read the Book of Mormon and ask God if it’s true. Cool guy. Weighs like 400 pounds though.
Also this weekend was awesome. We have eriko a paraguayo who is getting baptized this Saturday. He can’t read or write so he can’t understand many things but hes asisted 5 times in a row in church and he loves learning about the gospel. He doesn’t drink smoke and he is trying to get married but lives alone. Straight baller. Also this week our family is finally getting married!! On Thursday in the morning they will be married and then after at like 7 there will be a party at the church. On Saturday adelid will get baptized with eriko but lili his wife doesn’t feel prepared yet. So we are super pumped for this week. Lots of work lots of stuff to do but we are loving it!!
Also on Sunday is my birthday so I’m super pumped as well!!!

Hello!! This week was awesome. I hope belles birthday went great and everyone’s Halloween. No one celebrates Halloween here other than go and get drunk ha-ha. Last Sunday we had to drunk guys in church that we had to escort out. Everyone loves drinking here. Everyone drinks Friday to Sunday and then work really hard during the week in order to have money to buy beer. But a big thing of beer is like 15 pesos like 1 dollar so it’s pretty easy for everyone to get drunk. This week was kind of long because we spent most of it traveling. On Monday we went to Quilmes and played basketball with elder Milne and the assistants elder smith and elder Keeley at the offices. That was pretty fun!! On Tuesday we had the leadership council meeting where we throw out ideas for the other zone leaders and press talks to us for a while. It was really awesome president Nunez is awesome. When he bears testimony it’s very very powerful and everyone can feel it. It reminds me of when elder tippets was in the hospital for all those days and he gave him a blessing with me. I could feel the power surging through his hands through mine and into elder tippets. Although I couldn’t understand what he was saying I felt the power of the priesthood. After the meeting we went bowling!!!!! Wish I had Vicky but guess who came out on top with a 150. Elder lee. I hope you are all proud of me I knew that there was a reason that I was spending time at the bowling alley. Let’s just say the curve was on. Actually I didn’t even bowl that good it’s just our mission is much uncoordinated and no one knows how to bowl but that’s okay they have other talents.... ha-ha.
On wend we traveled back and had branch council. Only 3 people showed up. Lame. On Thursday we planned for most of the day for our zone conference that we had on Friday. President and the assistants came down and we had an awesome zone conference. They told us that we need to talk about weekly planning. So we did a fake video of the district and acted it out at the meeting. It was pretty funny. I think only Maddy will understand. Saturday we got to work and Sunday was great. We found 2 new people yesterday that are super awesome. One named Sonia from Peru and the other Mariela from Bolivia. They both are super nice and said they would read the book of Mormon. Also our investigators are progressing very well and we are super pumped for this week when elder armband comes. Today we are traveling to Santa teresita-2 hours- so I won’t have much more time to write. Today we had our district activity in villa vessel. We played soccer and ate some Brazilian food. Well folks miss you guys a ton. The work goes on and the days are passing by too fast!!! Love you guys and make sure to tell Jake happy birthday on the 11th!!!

Hello hello!! Well to start wish happy birthday to belle for me everyone. You all need to give her a big smooch on her cheek from me to her!! This week was pretty good. We had exchanges with a Brazilian elder Bartok for a few days while he was waiting for his new companion. He’s pretty cool. He’s from mangos. He loves singing its super funny!! On Thursday we had our zone meeting and it went great. We put super high goals and I think that everyone is ready to work really hard this transfer and try and change the coast. The coast has been known for a while to be a zone that doesn’t baptize. Last transfer we had 4 baptisms. The most in a long long time. And this transfer this week we have already had one and we have a ton of fetches for people this month!!! So awesome. We are finally raising this place!! At church on Sunday two drunk guys came to the sacrament meeting and me and my companion had to escort them out for bad behavior. Hashanah. Funny. It’s really sad in this country the weekends are like all you do is drink lots of beer and have parties and that’s about it. No one thinks about anything other than getting super drunk on Friday and Saturday!!
But everything is going great and tomorrow we are going to have our leadership council with all the leaders in the mission!!  Also next week ELDER RASBAND IS COMING. An apostle so we are super pumped. He chose this mission because we are doing so great. They said we are the most organized mission in Argentina and that we are raising our numbers at a crazy rate!! President is awesome!!
Love you guys have a great week!!!!

What’s up what’s up fellow humans? This week was super good. On Monday after writing we went up to san clement like 2 hour bus ride. We had intercampus with elder trio from Mexico and elder pond from Las Vegas. They are two goons but that’s okay. We had a good intercambio and we talked to lots of people had a few lessons etc. elder pond made us some videos with taco and wow it was off the charts. On Wednesday press and the assistants came down to the coast to have a chat with some of the members and I think press had a disciplinary council.... he drops the cane ha-ha. Elder smith is super awesome he’s from Montana and loves rugby and football. He is going to BYU after the mission. He’s been a good buddy of mine since the start of the mission. We talked about how much more the mission actually is and how important it is to do the mission right. There are lots of cases going around of disobedience. Lots of missionaries going home. It’s sad to see all of that crap because they just don’t get it!!! We had a mother’s day activity on Friday and they cooked a giant as ado!!! It was super cool!! Also we found some really cool people this week. One named Erika. He’s from Paraguay and loves drinking. But he wants to find god and he wants to get out of the crap he’s doing. We had a really good lesson with him about the gospel of Jesus Christ. He loved it and we took out a fiche for the 12 of November. We also found a couple named Walter and Karen. They don’t believe in God at all. nada nada lemonade.
We talked about all of the facts of how he actually lives. Like the earth, our bodies, all of the feelings we have etc. they thought it was cool how we can’t see the wind but we can feel it analogy. I love that one too. Overall it was a great week. I loved those talks you guys sent me as well. I have a giant binder with a bunch of talks that I print off every Monday. I love the words of the prophets. It’s really true the saying if we follow the teachings of the prophets, we will never be led astray. Love you guys so much. Stay golden pony boy.

This week was very very good. We found 4 new inv on Monday and had our zone council on Tuesday! The meeting was great. Everyone left feeling really animated and it was super awesome. Everyone shared their testimonies and it was awesome to hear about everyone and how they have changed this transfer. After that we had intercambios with elder chandler and elder moreira. It was super good!! Also we had the baptism interview and rene passed!! It was awesome!!!
On Saturday we got baptized and I got to baptize him!!! The water was really cold but it was a super cool experience!!! He lifted up his leg and so we had to do it again and the water felt like the river up the canyon. Poor guy. He is really tiny so it wasn’t that hard. hahaha he looks like a little kid but he’s 30. He has a very strong testimony of the church and shared his testimony after his baptism and it was awesome. Super cool day. Also this week the viajeros were with the coast and they found a ton of people!!! We are gonna have a ton of baptisms here in the coast!!! Super good week. Don’t have much to write. hahhaah Have a good week

Well people this week was a pretty good one. Some trials as well as some miracles!! On Tuesday I went out to the campo on exchanges with elder bartoski from sau paulo. He’s super funny. He loves singing and he has a strong accent. He is in madariaga. 40 mins towards the campo. Cool intercambio we talked to a ton of people. Lots of cowboys!!! We found 4 new investigators this week!! 2 paraguayos. They talk really funny but we started talking to them outside of their house and they let us in. His name is elio and the other month he was praying to have someone tell him about the gospel.
We call him an invest. de oro. or of gold. haha he will be getting baptized quick!!Also we found two other people that are also cool but not as good as him. We had a real bajon day on Thursday. Our inv. told us they were gonna wait to be married until November. crap. Pretty doug day. Also the sister’s investigators told them they didn’t want anything more. But on Friday we talked to rene a super small Bolivian man and he said he’s ready for his baptism on Saturday. He will have his interview on Tuesday!!! He’s awesome. I love him so much. such a small loving guy. Also elder kavea is doing a lot better and we get along really well!!! So everything is going really good right now. Missing home and the snow mucho but que va a hacer. haha love you guys have a great week!!!

Wow this week was super fun but kind of boring because of the travel!! On Tuesday we went to santa teresita.. Like 2 hours away from my area. We got to the district meeting a little late but it was a good edifying meeting. After we ate lunch in the pension of elder palevecino from tucuman north Argentina and elder visick from Layton utah. We had spaghetti and after we realized that their water wasn't working and they had no water. Not fun. I went on intercambios with elder visick. he talks like no ones business. the whole time he talked about whatever thing he could think of. I know who all of his best buds are and everything he did for the last 4 years. haha I really like the kid though.
He just barely got here like 3 weeks ago!! haha wow that was really funny though to go with him. We found an awesome new little investigator that is now gonna get baptized in two weeks!! i gave her my ctr ring to keep cause she though it was so cool so I’m gonna need a few more rings. haha. The next day we went to quilmes and had our consejo. We had it with pres and the assistents. I won the weight loss contest with elder smith!! I lost 5 kilos. We made some sweet tacos after our lunch with president in his house. We came back on Friday and planned for a few things and on Saturday we had conference and it was amazing!!! I loved it. We watched it in Spanish and I could finally understand everything it said!!
Super great talks that helped a ton of our investigatores are progressing very nicely and we are super pumped for next week. On the 15 we will have 3 baptisms I think. On the 14 our family will be getting married!!! We are so pumped!! We are gonna break the curse of pinamar and open the baptism font de nuevo!! Today we had our zone activity. It kind of was a failure but we ate tacos and it ended up good in the end but the sisters all complained!! But a good week and we are excited for this week and being able to actually go to work!!
Elder Lee

PS: I almost forgot!!!!!! This Wednesday we had the opportunity to work in tomas flores!ª!! We were in quilmes and we had a little bit of time so we went to work there. We got to visit my converts there as well as a bunch of members and it was so amazing!!! We need to go back to that place when you guys come down here.

Well this week was very interesting!!! Started off traveling a ton... I hate buses!! We went to quilmes like justo after we wrote and it took like five hours. We got there and had to wait for some other elder for like an hour. I was feeling like crap at that moment and wanted to throw up or shove a knife in my stomach hahaa. Super sick. We got to the pension of the aps and I asked for a blessing. Elder smith from montana gave me a great blessing and I felt a ton better after. The power of the priesthood is real and I’ve seen very much miracles in my mission with blessings!! On Tuesday all of the leaders in the mission went to the temple!! Super cool to be with so many people at the temple. After we took a bunch of fotos and went back to the offices. at the offices we ate pizza and pizza and pizza.
We left the next morning. I hate buses. hahah. it was a pretty good few days of work we talked to lots of people, did a few service projects etc. on friday the asistants got to the coast for interviews as well as district conference. President is so awesome. He gave a great talk and we also sang a hymn as the missioneros. Pretty cool day. Also our 4 investigadores that have a fecha came to church again for the second week in a row!! The 15 we should have 4 baptisms! wahoooo. My companion is kind of trucho which means that he doesnt follow lots of the rules. He speaks in vos and wakes up at 7 so there are some things that we need to change but he’s really funny!!! Today we went to the beach for a district activity and ate with some members in villa gessell. Tomorrow we have to travel to the other district so shoot me in the foot. But it was a great week and we are super pumped for this week. We have to travel to quilmes on weds. Again for a leadership council. Should be a crazy week of traveling again!!! Love you guys so much!!

Well this week was really good!! We worked very hard and on Thursday we had a zone meeting. My new companion is awesome- elder kavea from Australia. He’s a giant `poly and he’s a hard worker and really funny. He eats a ton. On Thursday we really changed the zone and how we are gonna do things this transfer. We told everyone that they needed to promise themselves and promise the lord that they were gonna baptize this transfer. Everyone left the meeting super animated to work and to baptize. we need to raise the nmbners of baptisms!! Also this week our family- family mayra took out turno para bautizarse!! They will be married on the 14 and baptized the 15.
Also we took out a fecha for felisa and renett who are 2 other investigators. so we are super pumped to be working here and we are finally gonna baptize here in the coast. Also this week on Wednesday and Tuesday there was a cyclone and the wind was blowing super super hard and raining all day!! i thought the world was gonna blow over. A few elderes got hit by flying pinecones and branches!! Pretty crazy. today we are gonna travel to quilmes and go to the temple tomorrow with all  of the liders in the mission. District leaderes, sister retard training leaders, and zone leaders. Should be super cool!!! Miss you guys a ton and hope you have a great week!!

Sorry folks parks closed....
This week was pretty good. Kind of sad but a good week!!. Tuesday morning we traveled up to the other district meeting to see how everyone is doing. Like a 2 hour drive up to mar de ajo. Good district meeting we talked about the importance of a testimony of joseph smith being a revelator of Christ in the last dispensation. During the meeting a giant storm hit and the wind was knocking over trees and it was really cold and rainy.  Then we took another bus up`to san clemente. Another 2 hours. We talked with them and then had to come back to santa teresita to do a interview for baptism. The guy was a beast and passed really easy. He got baptized yesterday. Then we went and chilled with san bernardo and ate tacos with them and slept in their pension. Kind of a crazy few days but it ended up successful. We came back to pinamar and had a good week working. On Friday the assistents called and told us the changes.
Elder jaramillo left along with 4 sisters and a few elderes. we are getting a bunch of cool cats though. So that will be good!! My new companino will get here at 7 mas o menos. His name is elder kavea. He’s from Australia and he’s a giant Tongan. He speaks a butt load of languages and is super cool. It will be cool to show him how to be a zone leader. Kind of sad that elder jaramillo had to go but that’s okay. We had like 3 asados this week from the members and last night we had one with flia gomez. My favorite family. He’s the branch pres. and he’s awesome. Keeps the apostasy down. But I really love the guy. He made us some good meat last night too and we ate with the hermanas and some other members. Good week!! I’m pumped for this next week to be able to get to know my new companion and the new elders!!!

Wow this week was really amazing. We really worked hard and found some awesome new people. We are on a roll right now. On Tuesday we had our zone meeting and it went really well!! Everyone shared and everyone learned it went great!! On Wednesday we had to go to the offices. 5 hour bus ride... yay. And then on Thursday we had our big leadership council. It went really good. Everyone really wants to change the mission. We aren’t baptizing enough. We need to baptize a lot more. The problem is the people but we can also do a lot better. But it was really great. That night we broke the diet to go to burger king. I got a double bacon cheeseburger. Crazy right. It was really good. My diet is going good I’m doing lots of pushups and situps every day too. Getting swoll. Also jumprope 10 min every morning.
We got home Friday and had a lame talent show that didn’t goo to well and Saturday we got to work hard. Our branch president is a straight good guy and his daughter got sick last week and they sent her to a good hospital and she got diagnosed with leukemia. Super sad. She has faith that she will be healed though. We ate with them Sunday. Also at church 5 investigators came to church!!!!! It was awesome!!! 2 big families with little kids. So we are pretty pumped rn! Good week. Love you all.

Wow I can’t believe this week I have 1 year!!! Time is passing by so quickly and I kind of wish that it would slow down!!! This week was pretty good we worked really hard, really hard. I don’t think I’ve walked so far in my entire life!!! My feet hurt really bad. Also this week I started my diet. I am having a competition with elder smith the assistant, and a few others from the offices to see who can lose the most weight in 5 weeks. We are all pretty fat and presidente was going to do it but he decided it would be too hard right now with all the things going on!! But I started to eat oatmeal... I know it’s hard to believe i was saying to myself what you have done elder lee. But I started to eat it every morning and every night with one fruit. Other than that I don’t eat anything. Well other that our lunches that we have with the members.
But I’ve seen a big difference already!! Everyone says that I’m looking a lot skinnier!! I’m also jump roping 10 min in the morning and doing 100 pushups and 100 sit ups in the morning and 50 push 50 sit ups every afternoon and before night!! I’m getting eagle powers!! This week was good we worked really hard and found a few new people. One of our flias is gonna take out turn to get married!! And they want to get baptized too!! So that’s cool. We also found a sweet family this week that want to progress. On Friday we made some steaks at night after work and they didn’t turn out very good haha but it was cool. Tonight we are gonna cook some more because we have like almost the whole zone staying with us for tomorrow our zone meeting!! So we are pretty busy today!! Today we had the zone activity today and I’ll send the photo. It was pretty cool!! We did the summer Olympics mission style. And after we eat churri pan. Argentine bratwurst. I’ll be sending photos!!
But I can’t believe this week was one year!! Super crazy. Another great year awaiting me and I can’t wait!! Thank you all for your support and please keep helping out because literally something as simple as a letter makes the days go awesome. Thanks for everything

Well this week was pretty awesome not gonna lie. On Thursday the assistants came and stayed with us as well as president came and ate pizza with us in our pension. He’s so awesome. Friday morning we had our zone conference and it was sooo good. The assistants taught us about our legacy as well as our vision that we have for the mission.
We taught about preach my gospel and its importance in the missionary life. We talked about mat 5;13 about being the salt of the earth. When Christ says this he is meaning that the things we teach should be pure doctrine. Only through pmg can we teach pure doctrine. Also we talked about being truly converted and I thought it went really good. President talked about lots of stuff but more than anything that we should keep going strong and the lord will bless us. Friday night we did visits with the assistants and it was awesome. We talked with tons of people and found some new investig. And learned a lot!!! Super fun to be with them. Also on Sunday the family that we are teaching came to church again for the 6th time.
They are waiting to be married and then are gonna be baptized. So we are just waiting for the marriage!!! They are sooo ready to be baptized. Today we went to the beach and played volleyball and cooked pizzas with our district. Super fun week!!! And this Friday I’m gonna hit the year mark!!!!

Hello todos. How is everyone doing?? You’re making me real jealous over here in arg with all the beach photos when I am so close to the beach and I can’t even go in!! We played volleyball last week and it was really fun on the beach. We are thinking about having our zone activity on the beach and have a summer Olympics mission style. We will have everyone on teams with their companions and have a few events. We are still planning everything but I think that would be fun!! This week elder jaramillo had to go to la plata to do some paperwork stuff so that he can leave the country for 3 days he was gone.
I stayed with an elder palavecino from tucuman northern Argentina. We worked really really hard!! It was a pretty warm week so there were lots of people outside and walking around and we found a bunch of people. We found a few bolivian familias that have a bunch of kids so that would be cool if we could baptize them. Our family finally came home from Bolivia and are getting ready to get married and get baptized!!! They came to church and they have some crazy but really cute little boys. This week was also really crazy because the sisters all of the sisters went crazy. One sister is worried about when she gets home finding a husband and was crying about that and another has fam problems at home another hates her area etc. everyone crying. We didn’t know what to do. Any ideas??? But a really good week. I’m almost done with jesus the cristo. its soooooo good. I love it. I’ve been reading about the trial of Jesus and how it was so illegal and also about paul and stefen and all of his apostles and how cool they all are. I’m almost done with it and then I’m going to read the bible!!!
Love you guys

August 8, 2016

Wow what a week had Elder lee!!!!! Too much traveling!! So Tuesday our new sisters got here. Now we have 4 sisters in our ward and 2 more in a different ward so we have in total 8 sister missionaries in our zone.... que bajon... the new sisters are 1 hna rivero from misiones who is waiting to go to Mexico and the 2 is from quilmes  a mini. They are pretty cool. The sisters from the other ward are the sassiest sisters in the mission and they are together. Who knows what happened there. On weds we had a branch council and we got invited. Everyone got there and it was great and then everyone kinda started to argue about what was going on and it was straight up ridiculous.
They were acting like 10 year olds. At one point it got to be so stupid that I got up and told everyone that they needed to simplify everything just like the gospel. The gospel is real simple. i also told everyone that the spirit was offended and that we all needed to repent and come back to the next council with a different attitude. Everyone shut up after that jaja. I didn’t mean to get mad but they needed a bit of a yelling. on Thursday we had to travel to quilmes for the leaders council with pres. luckily my new companion and elder ventura who are the pensioneros were in the coast and we got to ride back with them . Like 4 hours in truck. On Thursday night we played some basketball and let me tell you I could go pro. My right side lay ups were on fire!!! Making people look like dougs!! On Friday we went to the temple again, so pretty!!! And we came back and had the council! They dropped the cane on us again but it was pretty good. Friday night we went with the assistants to a taco place and they were playing like music from the states and we all felt really awkward. One of the songs swore and we all freaked out and we started to laugh at how used to the mission we are!!! Saturday we took the bus home and went to villa gessel for a tormenta blanca and walked a butt load but found a bunch of people!!! Fun week lots of traveling!

Well everyone this week was one for the books. One of our families that we were teaching that were super close to baptism finally came back from Bolivia!! We are super pumped to work again here in pinamar. We get to stay together!! On Tuesday we had a zone meeting and we shared a bunch of fun stuff!! We started talking about all of the things we accomplished this transfer and then we talked about the things that are holding us back from baptizing tons. I was reading in Alma where it talks about the anti nefi lehites or however you spell that in English and I was reading about them taking their swords and putting them deep in the ground. Well we did that haha. I made a bunch of cardboard swords and we dug a hole and we had them write something that was holding them back. Then we threw them in the pit and now we can never do that thing again! It was super cool haha. After we showed a slideshow with all the photos that we took as a zone and photos that people sent to us. It was super fun.
The Rama (branch) here is suffering. There’s a member here that lives in front of us that is telling everyone to repent because everyone drinks coca cola. It’s taking away from the doctrine. It doesn’t say in section 89 that we don’t drink coffee or tea because it has caffeine. It just says don’t drink it because the lord said. We are gonna have to drop the cane here.
We are getting 4 more sisters.... we are done for.

Well family this week was very interesting. Tuesday we went up to the other district in our zone it’s like 2 hours away. I saw a pig the size of a cow by the bus station and tried to take a picture of it but it started to chase after me because it was protecting its baby’s so I got scared and ran. Such a fat pig. Looked like Jake. After the meeting we went to the pension of some elders that didn’t come because they claimed they were sick. One of the elders is super disobedient and sleeps in every day until 2 I guess. So we dropped the cane and told them to get to work but idk if it helped very much.
We talked to Pres and I think he’s gonna have a little chat with him. On Friday we went up to la plata for the concert thing. Its soooo far away. 5 hours on bus listening to the sisters talk about drama and stupid stuff. I made a vow to never marry a sister missionary sorry mom and maddy. Really fun to see all of the elders and guess what I got to stay the night Friday with Elder Clark my  buddy from the mtc. He’s also a zl. Super fun. The concert was cool we have some talented people and hna nunez is a boss. She’s so awesome. Everyone keeps telling me that I’m gonna be the new assistant and its driving me crazy. No chance. I guess we will see on Friday. Can’t believe that this transfer is already over. I hope that I get to stay here.
We have a few baptisms planned for next transfer so hopefully I stay. Today we went to the sand dunes with the sisters from our area and a member that’s super cool. The dunes are super fun actually. He has this board that goes super-fast down them and we had a cool p day. After we drove around in the richest part of Argentina and found a north face outlet and everyone was driving bmw, audi, mercedes all sorts of sweeeet cars. Like Newport all over again. hahha. Well the mission is flying by and I love it so much and hope all of you are doing great!!

Hello everyone!! Wow this week was really good!! We worked really hard this week. Really really hard!! On Thursday the assistants and pres came to the pension for interviews the next day and we got 2 meter pizzas!! Really expensive but super good. They also brought an old friend  with them.  Pres left and stayed in a hotel for the night and we talked pretty much all night about the mission. haha. Elder smith and elder jones are super cool. I like them both. Friday we had interviews and we had to teach every companionship with the assistants. That was pretty cool to be on the other side of those teachings.
My interview went really really good. He talked about 17 miracles and how those who made it always had a good spirit and tried to be happy. He said that I have that and that I need to keep helping everyone else feel good and get the happy level in the coast back up. he said lots of people ask him how they can become a zone leader as fast as I did and he told me that he always tells them to be more happy and to always stick up for what’s right and to just work hard and be obedient and the rest will fall through. That was pretty cool. Afterwards we went back to the pension and made a music video hahahaha super funny. Each one of us had a part and mouth sung this song that’s super funny. I’ll try and send it.
The next day we had a noche de hogar with the gomez fam. That was super fun we made tacos. They are a super cool family. He’s the pres of the rama here. Super good guy you need to meet them when you guys come down. On Sunday we found a new inv finally!!!!!!! She was awesome though. We had to teach outside cause there was no man there but we were teaching and I was bearing testimony and I looked at the giant tree behind her and guess what I saw..... nefi!!! Written in the tree was nefi big and perfectly carved in. I yelled nefi and she was a little startled and asked what it meant. I told her the story of him and that she needs to be baptized hahhaha. She’s awesome.- well That's about it for this week.
 Love all of you

Well another week down. Wow time is passing way to fast. I can’t believe that I’m coming up on 11 months and truly on 1 year. Passed so fast and they all say that after 1 year it passes even faster!! Crazy.
This week started off really good we had a few lessons with some good families but then it started to go downhill after Tuesday. We didn’t find one new inv and we have no fechas now. Our family de diez went to Bolivia and who knows when they are going to come back. Also the family that was super close to being baptize don’t want to put a fecha so we need to teach them more. One of our other inv turned out to be a snake and only wanted me for my body. I stepped in cat poop like 90 times because the guy that lives in front of us has like 10 cats. i almost got bit by big dogs about 30 times and they don’t even bug elder j. almost all of my pants are ripped in the crotch because my legs are getting too big.
But I learned a lot this week in the scripts and I’m almost done with Jesus the Christ and I’m starting the book of Mormon again. Today I read about the rock that says in Helaman 5, Matthew 16 and 21. It’s interesting because I always thought it referred to the rock only as Jesuscristo. But really it is more. In Matthew 16 Jesus tells Pedro that he will build his church upon the rock. Everyone thinks that he is saying he will build the rock on Pedro. It’s not. In the scripture before it talks about how Pedro says that he knows Jesus is the son of God. Jesus tells him blessed are ye Pedro for knowing that I am the son of god and I didn’t reveal it unto you, that he received it from the father meaning he was given revelation through the spirit that Jesus is the son of god. Meaning that when Christ says he will build his church upon the rock he will build it upon revelation. Our church is founded upon revelation by Jose smith.                     Pretty cool how other churches believe crap. Cool week we hit up the sunrise but other than that pretty chill. Love you guys

Wow where do I start. What a crazy week. So Tuesday the place closed so we couldn’t talk for very long but today it will be open the whole time. This place is so awesome!! Its soooo rich but so cool. All of you would love this place because we have the beach and so many fun things to do. We have sand dunes where we can do sandboarding which I heard was super fun and if we could go in the water the waves are huge!! Jake we could get some gnar gnar waves. There is sand everywhere. All of the streets are sand. It’s like a mini Newport beach kinda,. Super cool place. But the craziest part is 80 percent of everyone in my ward is from Bolivia. Potosi!! So I kinda already have an in with everyone here. We have tons of inv that are close to being baptized and we have an activity on wed and we are going to make tacos. Pretty pumped it’s going to be really cool. The members are all really cool and give us food a lot. But everything is super super expensive. Everyone drives nice cars and have audis and all sorts of nice stuff and the houses are huge.
Maybe I’m a little used to mud huts but this place is really nice. The houses look like alpine houses. We have a family that is about to get married and right after are going to be baptized along with a diff family that we are for sure going to baptize!!! So we are super pumped. My comp elder jaramillo speaks really good and he’s awesome. He’s from Arizona but his parents are from Mexico but he was my last zone leader and we get along really good. He’s going to help me a ton. He loves the bible!!! The only problem here is the hills.... oh my gosh everywhere we go are hills. My legs are getting huge and I’ve ripped a few of my pants in my crotch area. I’m going to lose all my weight here. It’s pretty cold because we are close to the ocean but its soooo hard to bike with the hills. Luckily we have some mountain bikes but it’s still hard. Also the dogs here love to chase bikers and elder j almost got bit the other day. hahah. But other than that everything is going great yesterday I completed 10 months!!! crazy!! Love you all and can’t wait to talk more.

Wow where do I start?? hahaha what a week. First off we had a great week and my old companion was doing great. We played basketball with some kids on a court and whooped them. Super super fun. We taught lots of lessons and overall a good week. A sister made me a tie out of yarn and we did two days of service with the Sanchez Flia. We took off their roof and helped them clean up their new house. Super fun and we ate asado y made hamburgers. On Friday night we found out that I was leaving berisso but they didn’t say where I was going.
So I started to pack on Saturday and we had service and visited a bunch of members and stuff!
Oh it was so long and there was a baby on the bus screaming the whole time and they were blasting the hot air so i was sweating like a bafoon. We got to the pension idk how because we are doing a whitewash and have no idea where anything is. Luckily there are sisters here that are helping us. One from Argentina and one from Mexico. Today we went to the church and wow it’s so big and the houses here are crazy. Just like the states. This area looks like a small Irvine but less cheto. Well looks like they are shutting down this cyber but sorry I’ll write on Monday. Love you guys so much and have a great week.
Love you so much.

Sorry folk’s parks closed....
JK wow this week was an interesting one. Started off on Monday we went to the church to have a meeting with president and he didn’t show up. He forgot to call us and tell us that he didn’t have time to come that there was an emergency so he wasn’t able to come. He said he could come back on Tuesday at 3. We came at 3 and he was waiting for us. Meanwhile I read about joseph fielding smith yr. - he didn’t have one convert his entire mission and he got sealed with 3 wives.... I asked president later if he will have 3 wives above and he said yes but if Sister Nunez heard him say that she would get mad at him halakha.
We had intercampus right after in Ensenada with elder goanna and elder Sosa Rios. I went with Sosa Rios in my area. something that I learned from him that was really cool was that he said if we have a heavenly father above, he would be the king of kings right?? They said yes obvious. Then he said okay well then we would be princes and princesses right? He asked them if they think they are living up to their privileges as princes in the biggest kingdom of all time. Kind of cool to think about. Are we living up to our privileges?? There’s a Mormon message about that by dieter f etch. About some guy that goes on a cruise and stays in his room the whole trip because he thinks that all the food and activities cost money. He learns at the end that everything food and activities were included. He had been living for 2 weeks under his privileges.
This week is transfers and his really praying that we stay together but we are going to see what happens!! Really humbling week with no success but also a really good week. Tomorrow we have a district meeting and I’m going to focus on the life of Christ. I invited everyone to study different works of the lord in his life and downloaded the videos from the bible to show after. I think it will be a very cool day!! I’m really missing you guys a lot but seems like everyone is pretty good at home!!!

Well family this week was a good one. Lots of rain and lots of cold but other than that I was pretty good. We fasted Saturday and Sunday morning for the mother of an elder in our mission who is dying from cancer who lives in Mexico. Also it was the end of the month and we didn’t have any money other than our personal money which we are trying not to use so we didn’t have much food for lunch or dinner. But right after church someone called us and said we could eat with them and we went and ate chicken and potatoes and it was amaaaazing. So good. So simple. I love simple. After that my comp was super sad and crying cause he misses home so I told him to go lay on his bed and think of why he is here. He ended up falling asleep because he is still a little sick. So I just read for a few hours in Jesus el Cristo and it is so good oh my gosh. I read about when he healed the leper.
The leper came up to him and said Lord Cast thou heal me? He knew that Jesus could but didn’t know if he would because he was considered so un clean. All Jesus said was I WILL. Oh wow it gives me the chills. Like grandpa says I was in hog heaven. ahhahhaha. Other than that it was a pretty chill week nothing much happened that was interesting. i mean we worked and taught and everything but nothing too interesting.

Hello family,
Wow this week was pretty interesting. Wednesday we had the 25 of March which is Independence Day here. They love this day. We had a ward activity in the church the whole day! At 10 everyone came to play soccer until around 12. We just sat there and watched because there’s a new rule that says we can’t play soccer with the members because so many elders are getting hurt from soccer. So we watched and ate this stuff called tortas fritas. Aka SCONES. Oh wow I love them so much. They are like pure heaven. We also helped cooked loco which is the same as his double hockey sticks. So gross. They but pig feet, cow stomach, cow intestines and pretty much any meat you can think of with squash and potatoes and all sorts of crap and let it sit for like 5 hours. So nasty but we had to eat it because every one here loves it. Around 1 we ate and after we sang the Argentina national song and we had no idea what is was. They also gave me some gay ornament thing for my tie. But everyone here is so weird and love the weirdest foods. Ha-ha.
On Thursday I was really sick but we made hamburgers for one of our investigators and they actually turned out really good. His name is Santiago and he speaks perfect English. I’ve talked about him before but finally his starting to talk with us again. He has problems with sexual relationships ha-ha. Weird guy. Friday we had a BAPTISM woo. Holy rat feed it was amazing. It took us all day to fill up the baptism font with hot water but at 7 he was baptized and he loved it so much. He is awesome Emmanuel Chavez, 26 yrs. old, loves world of Warcraft. He loves cooking for us too. On Saturday we went over to the other elders baptisms in our district and it was a super cool day. Rained a ton and that night the viajeros people that travel all over and spend 1 day with elders and help their areas out and stuff. One of them is elder Sandburg my buddy!!! So I spent the whole day with elder Sandburg. His the one that saved my camera from the Adeana. Ha-ha. He goes home in 2 weeks... and he says hes going to come and eat cinnamon rolls at home. Are you going to be home?? I don’t think his kidding. I’m also going to send a few things with him. Do you want anything from here??? Good week, still sick and I finished Perla de gran precious! Love you all!!!

Hello family!! How are all of you doing?? Miss you guys so much! This week was really awesome!! This week we had a ton of lessons with Catholics that wanted to fight. I really love when that happens because I have to be a special witness of Jesus Christ and defend our faith but if they don’t say anything bad we can’t drop the cane or machete on them. But this week like a ton wanted to fight and we dunked hard on them!!! We brought out the ole bible and told everyone why our church is true and why there’s isn’t. we also had to try and do it with love but when they are telling us that Jose smith is a fake and that our church is an abomination it really gets little Ann and big Dan pumping. We had to share a bunch of scriptures out of the bible and show them why our church is true and why we believe that we are the only church that’s true on earth. I also just finished dye in Spanish and it was so good.
I love section 132 where it talks about marriage. Thanks mom and dad for showing us the way to not only go on a mission but to be married in the temple because it’s honestly one of the most important things we can do in this life!! It says in 132 that in order to be let through the gate into the celestial kingdom we have to be married in the temple. Also that we will one day be gods and goodness.  Pretty gnarly. haha also this week we found a bunch of people so that was cool. It’s also really cold!!! But this weekend we are going to have a baptism so we are super pumped!!!!!! Can’t wait!! His name is Emmanuel Chavez. He’s 26 and loves world of war craft!! Haha really weird but oh well. Today we went to the museum and it was actually really cool!! I’ll send a bunch of pictures rn!! Miss you guys so much and hope you guys have a great week. ps. jakes video was pretty gnarlyyyyyyyyyyyy

Hello family how is everyone doing?? It was so awesome to see you guys last week and it was so crazy to see how much everyone has already changed! Jake is looking pretty hipster and his videos are pretty gnarly and belle is getting a little taller and looks more like a mujer. Maddy is looking flaka y Alta more than ever and mother dear of course looks younger and dad is looking like he’s been hitting the weights too. I am doing lots of pushups every morning and also the ab workout. I’m going to come back huge. This week was really good!!
Tuesday to Friday we didn’t have much success. We knocked more doors than ever and worked really hard but no one wanted to hear us and lots were really mad with us. Idk why but everyone seemed to just not want to listen to us.  He said he feels like I don’t miss you guys at all and that it doesn’t even matter if they say no or if people make fun of us. He gets so sad when people say they hate us or when they throw stuff at us. I watched a video the other month called missionary work and the atonement. By Holland and Eyring. It really changed my views on the mission and how important being happy and keep working even when it’s the hardest. Sometimes it’s really hard to keep working when it’s really cold or when it’s raining or when no one wants to talk but like it says in that movie clip thing that it should never be easy. Life should never be easy. Because Christ’s life was never easy. So why should we think that our life to eternal life will be easy. Luckily we have someone to go to when we are down and don’t want to do anything. It talks about how for a few hours only one person in this world was completely alone. Jesus Christ when he was on the cross. That was the very last time that someone will be completely alone. So we have it a lot easier than him we can always ask for help from god and he will always help us. Maybe in the ways that we don’t want but he will always help and this week I could see that. We prayed so many times for people to teach and the whole day we didn’t teach anyone and then around the afternoon someone would pop up and we would have very powerful lessons. And it was all because the other people didn’t answer otherwise we would have never gone to that person. So sometimes he answers our prayers in ways that maybe we didn’t expect but he always helps.
On Friday that happened and we found an ex missionary that was way less active like 8 years and he let us in and we had the most powerful lesson that I’ve ever had here in Argentina. He told us his life story and I honestly felt for the guy. I told him that god loves him more than he can possible imagine and shared a scripture that I don’t even know where it is from out of my mind and I actually started to cry. First time I’ve cried here on the mission. Such a powerful experience. On Sunday we went to find our investigator before church and he wasn’t answering his door and I told the member and my companion that we needed to pray. I said the prayer and clapped again and he came to the door and came with us to church. On the 27 he will be baptized. So many times this week I prayed and got an answer but sometimes in ways that I didn’t want or in ways that I didn’t think would happen. But I know god answers prayers and if any of you need help all you have to do is ask him. I love you guys so much and just know that in every single prayer that I say I ask for blessings for you guys each of you specifically.
Love you guys so much!!!

Hello wow this week was super great and kind of hard too. I had to kind of show how the mission is to my companion. It’s been pretty hard because I have to be perfect in order for him to follow my example so it’s been tough but slowly his having more and more fun. We taught lots of lessons really powerful and felt the spirit so strong this week. Sometimes when imp talking I feel like imp a fly on the wall!! Super cool. We have a baptism not this week but the next and imp super pumped!!! It’s going to be awesome!! Yesterday in the night I had a heart to heart with my companion and he told me how much he is grateful that he came to berisso because he feels like he has improved so much more and feels a lot happier. He started to cry and said thanks so much for helping me want to stay and how to be a missionary and it hit me pretty hard. His a good missionary but just didn’t have a good start. Vie slowly been teaching him the rules and what a missionary should be and do. It was super cool to see that I actually am impacting someone on the mission. It was really a good week!!!!

This week I will have 8 months in the mission and it’s going by way to fast!! I can’t believe how fast it has gone. I want to pause time haha. This week was a really really hard one the truth. On Tuesday I had intercambios with some elders and we had a sweet day and then at the end of the day I got a call from the assistants and was like oh no something happened haha. They called dand said that we are doing an emergency transfer. Elder Harrison left for my old zone and I got a new companion de St. George also. They had some problems in their area and so they did a switch. Super bummer that elder Harrison had to go but oh well. My new companion has 3 weeks in the mission but speaks pretty well. He likes to sing, play the piano, rubix cube, and sit on the toilet for a long time. He doesn’t really talk too much and walks slower than Grandma Gardner on the alpine trail but other than that his great. I don’t think he really wants to be here but pres told me it’s my job to change that. 2 of our inv came to church this week and hopefully they come this week. If we can get them to come we can have a baptism the 7th of mayo. That would be super sick. We also did a ton of service this week. We helped build a house and also we cut down a few trees with machete and axe. My hands hurt pretty bad but oh well. Haha I’ll send a bunch of photos. Elder Harrison took a video of me singing in the shower and its really funny hahahaha I’ll try and send it. Anyways this week was pretty cold but not really. Got bit by a dog. Good week.

Hello family!!
Well this week we finally had a baptism! His name is axel Ismael Silva!! His 11 years old and a straight stud. We’ve been teaching him for a while! Elder h baptized him and he messed up the first time and forgot to say his name! Hahha and the second time he just really messed up bad but the last time he did it perfect. The baptism thing broke and hot water didn’t come out so it was freezing cold and there was no hot water in all of the church so we grabbed a few pans to cook like mashed potatoes in and started to heat up water in the kitchen for like 2 hours so that it wouldn’t be freezing cold!! well one of them was really big and we both needed to grab it and while we were walking with the boiling hot water elder Harrison slipped a little and the water flied on my hand and I let go and elder Harrison tried to hold it with one hand and couldn’t and it dropped and sent boiling hot water everywhere our faces and our arms. It hurt really badly but we laughed really hard after.
We were kind of bummed on Saturday because we didn’t have any inv in church and can’t meet our goal for 3 this month because they need to assist church 2 times before they can be baptized. But oh well we just got to work a little bit harder.  It was really cold to see joins trainer this week I was on exchanges with the zone leaders in their zone and we went to lunch at the gaticas house and we started to talk about his mission and how he served in salta and I told him that my uncle served there. He looked at my plack and asked what my uncle was named and I said jon and he said it’s his son!!!! Haha so crazy he showed me a bunch of photos and we ate raviolis which were amaziiiiinnnggg. His a cool guy and jon looked so small in all of the photos hahaha. Cool week but nothing much happened other than that stuff. We had one day where we did 30 contacts and found a bunch of people. It rained all day for 2 days and we saw major major flooding. I need a raincoat hahahhah. Love you all and hope you all are having a dandy time. Someone told me about a place where you can ski an hour and a half in plane from where I’m at. They said it’s unreal and that I totally need to go if I like to ski. Dad maybe you can look into it a little because it’s in the Andes mountain range!!!! Would be awesome!!!

hola como andan? Now that everyone speaks Spanish imp going to write in Spanish... haha jk. This week was really good and also really hard. On Wednesday elder h had to go to quilmes the offices to do some paper work to try and be legal here and I had to go to the offices on Thursday for a leader meeting. It’s pretty far like 2 hours in bus and train so it’s kind of a pain and really ruined the week for us. But it has to happen sometime so whatever. But on Wednesday we were supposed to have a baptism interview and our investigator didn’t show up... and we tried calling him and everything and he just didn’t respond and later that night we found him in the street and he said he couldn’t come because his mom got really sick and he had to help her. So that’s why he didn’t come I don’t know if I believe him but oh well. So we moved the baptism for one week this Sunday but he or the other investigator that was supposed to be baptized on Saturday didn’t come. So they can’t do it this week. It’s so frustrating. We were looking forward to these two weeks for so long and they just took the day off and didn’t come to church!!
I don’t understand we fasted and we prayed super super hard and it was just hard. So now we have to wait a while to baptize one of them but we still could potentially baptize one of our invest. This week and then the other two the weeks that are coming. It’s really hard because we were super pumped and then it was like getting hit by a train. But oh well we got to work a little harder and try a little harder. Today we had our district activity and we went to La Plata to go to the zoo or there’s this cool planetarium that’s pretty sick I guess and they just happened to be both closed. I also cooked like 8 pizzas for everyone and we ate at some park and then went to one of the soccer fields and took a little tour. Everything kind of fell through but that’s okay it was still fun. Other than that not much happened this week. We went into the campo or fields and found a bunch of cows and asked if they wanted to get baptized and they said yes so we are going to have about 100 this week. Haha also we were in the bus this week and some moron kid threw a rock at the window right in front of us and it cracked the window and scared the crap out of me. Anyways love you all and miss you.

Whoa this week was unreal!! I can’t believe how many blessings we saw this week. First of all it rained the whole week and we were literally biking in a river. Like when I say river we were biking in water up to our waists when we were on our bikes. And most of it was sanja water which means we were biking in poop water. So much fun. Hahah elder Harrison fell and broke his bike and got all dirty. Kind of funny but I felt bad. Later in the week I fell and hurt my knee but that’s okay. Also funny fact for the day is I almost died. I saw my life flash in front of my eyes as a bus almost ran right in too me but I flew and jumped over the sidewalk and was saved. Pretty athletic. Back to the rainy day. We left at lunch and it started to poor on Wednesday. Right after that we were super far away and didn’t have enough time to go home and put on a jacket or something to help with the rain even though nothing would have protected us from that kind of rain.
Someone was dumping swimming pools from above. It must be starting winter upstairs because everyone was draining their pools!! Like I said we were biking in rivers and we both got super cold. I told him we needed to pray and ask for help. I offered a prayer and asked for some help with the cold as well as to find 2 new investigators within 30 min. right after the prayer we both felt like a coat was being wrapped around us and looked down the road to find someone to teach. No one was in the street but right then a ball started to float down the river and we picked it up and walked to the house we thought it was from and knocked the door. the lady said it wasn’t hers but knows who it’s from and why in the $%%&#$%%$% are we outside without jackets or let alone outside when it’s raining like this. She said who are you guys anyway and we explained that we work rain or shine and we are here to share with her the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ and she said I want to know more. She’s an investigator now. She showed us where the house was that the ball is from and we went there and the lady answered and asked the same question of why we had the audacity of being outside right now and we taught her and she wants to hear everything.
New investigator. Throughout the day we prayed 4 times and found 8 people that want to hear our message as well as had lessons with them. It was such a cool day. Conference was great but weird in Spanish... elder h didn’t understand a thing ha-ha but oh well what you do. This Friday we have a baptism and the next week too. I’m pretty pumped for the next few weeks I guess you can say. Anyways I love you all and miss you all, can’t believe you left to Mexico without me. The new sister in my district is from Mexico. Idk where and she’s super weird. She is an albino and has red hair. haha oh well.
Love you all

Hello family!!
Wow what a great week we had. Lots of spiritual experiences and also lots of physical work hahha. My hands hurt so bad!! Anyways to start the week off we had exchanges with the zone lideres and I went with elder jauromillo from Arizona that’s a convert for like 3 years. Super dope kid. We had a great day and almost gave a really powerful blessing to some lady who has cancer. she kept saying that’s she’s waiting for a miracle to happen to her to be healed and elder j said in a loud voice... we are the blessing!!!! Halakha we can heal you lady and she didn’t let us just kept saying that she’s waiting for a miracle. I shared the story about Jake Clark and how he got a blessing and was pretty much saved. pretty cool and she still wouldn’t let us but she gave us some good bread and ended up seeing her the next day and we told her that she needs to accept that god is trying to tell her something ha-ha. Oh well. We also talked to some guy that said he was going to go kill a family after our lesson right in the middle of the lesson he said that hahhaha. And we convinced him that it’s a really bad idea and that we probably can’t come back to his house if he kills those people so he said he wouldn’t for now. Pretty funny guy.
The whole day I was trying to find this scripture that I had a read a while ago to share with someone during a lesson and I couldn’t remember where it was and finally I was like I need to pray and ask god where it is found. I ended my prayer and grabbed my book of Mormon and opened the book and it was right there. I kind of started to cry because of the power of prayer that I just had never really realized that it had that much power and elder jauromillo asked me what happened and asked if I was home sick Hashanah. I told him know that I was just a little soft now. ; The next day we had a giant service project like you all saw and it was super fun but also really hard.
We were digging for like 5 hours luckily it was raining a tad. But we both just had blisters everywhere and I cut my hand on some glass in the ground so we are in bad shape. I had to put a bunch of medicine on it from the doctor guy but I’m fine don’t worry. Super good day and then the next day we had a giant asado or bbq. Stomach, intestines, sausage, all sorts of stuff. We cooked it in a giant mud hardened bbq and over a grill and it was soo good. I was so stuffed after. We are pretty much buddies with all of the members now!! Fhhaha. We are also going to have a baptism next week and hopefully the week after that!! So we are also working pretty hard. I miss all of you guys so much though. I got all those boxes mom and thought of home so much. I haven’t gotten the package from home only the ones from that missionary company. Thank you so much!!! Anyways I love you all so much and hope you had a great week!!

Wow this week was really good!! The weeks are going way too fast!! I can’t believe that this week that comes ill have 7 months. Crazy. This Monday is transfers so who knows if elder Harrison and I will stay together. Pretty good chance that we are split up because there’s 20 new missionaries coming in on Monday. Pretty nuts. Miss you guys so much and I can’t wait to watch these videos that are coming in! From what I’m hearing I’m missing out on some good skiing!
It’s starting to cool down a lot here but the beginning of this week was really hot!!!! We finally got out of the smelly tiny and disgusting villa Progresso pension and got our new one. The first few days it wasn’t much better because there was a ton of bugs and we had to clean like crazy but now I like it. I came in the second day and there was two giant cockroaches on my pillow!!!! Ahh I freaked out but then I found a spider as big as my face and thought that jerry and Craig our cockroaches our I guess our friends so we named them and now we are amigos. Now our pension is clean after a bunch of bleach and ours of cleaning.
But guess what. We might be receiving a washing machine!!! Probably today actually. Only one in the mission other than the assistants. Pretty crazy right. the day after we got the new pension we had a 70 come and give the mission a big talk and leader meeting it was pretty cool but I was going to the bathroom and he walked in and asked me to throw him a paper towel and right then I finished going to the bathroom and grabbed on and gave him it and I realized my pants were totally undone and he could see my garments and everything. He didn’t notice but elder h thought it was hilarious. later in the week we had to clean the baptism font and we got the call to clean it and thought it would be nothing and then we got their and realized that the pump to take out water had broken and there was water that had been sitting there for a year literally a year was in there and it was nasty!!!!
It took 2 hours to get all the water out and clean enough for a baptism. We filled it up again for the baptism and it was freezing cold water poor little girl was so cold. Good baptism. After we had to try and get the pump working and didn’t work so we tried to syphon the water out and that failed utterly ahahahha and so we called up someone and he fixed it. Yesterday we had a giant bbq and ate intestinos and a lot of other weird stuff. It was actually pretty good. Anyways miss all of you so much and can’t wait to talk more!!

Hello dougs of the earth. This week was great. Got sick on Monday night, pooped my pants doing sit ups on Tuesday and pooped my pants in the night on Wednesday. I couldn’t really leave the bathroom because I had such bad diarrhea. Also I stepped in a giant pile of horse dumplings and covered my foot. Also it rained a ton and we were biking and I got covered in mud and water from the tires.
Hmm oh yeah a few days ago we went out to the fields that I guess is our area that literally threes houses every 500 or 1000 feet and found a bunch of people that had never listened to our message. Pretty cool. Only problem is we biked 215 blocks which pretty much is like a marathon and a half. Not kidding. My buttocks hurt so bad I couldn’t walk right the next day. Super awesome though. Literally we were out in the middle of nowhere preaching to people that have never seen white humans with giant star wars helmets on let alone missionaries. We had 2 family home evenings this week and made hamburgers for one of them!! They were super good. I also had lots of doctrine questions this week and was cool to find the answers.
I remember I asked grandpa the question about the sword of Laban and how it was made of fine steel way back when they had no such thing and how it got passed down and down until Moroni had it and gave it to his son. I found out that the, the Urim and Thumim, and the Liahona as well as the plates AND the sword of laban. So we can see that it was passed down for a long long time and has some kind of significance. I also read mosses 4 verse 31 and think that it could be something that Adam passed down until Mormon put it in the box thing. pretty cool!! Also today we had our district activity and went to Punta lira and totally played football looking at the beach! It was so humid though. pretty cool views of the ocean and waves crashing!! I miss Cali so much ha-ha. Anyway miss you guys so much and hope you guys had a great week!

Hello beautiful humans from Utah. This week was a really spiritual week so many miracles I can't even believe it. So many times when my mind was blown I just can’t even really explain some of them.
First off this week started too cool off so I’m super pumped about that. I can finally start wearing my long sleeve shirts because short sleeves shirts look so bad.
Ha-ha On Thursday we went to have a lesson with some guy we found after Elder H said a prayer to find a new investigator and 30 seconds later we found him and he said to come back on Thursday. We passed by his house like 6 other times the first two weeks because the sisters had one lesson with him but he didn’t really want anything so maybe we could have had some success. But on Thursday we passed by his house and clapped 3 times and he didn’t come to the door. I started to leave and elder h told me we should say a prayer. We said one and I clapped one more time and he came to the door 10 seconds later. My mind was blown!!!!! Usually if we clap 2 times that means that they aren’t there so it was super spiritual to be able to teach him. We had such a powerful lesson with him and guess what. All in English!!!! He speaks perfect English!! It was so cool to preach in English. We brought him a book of Mormon in English and he loved it. He pretty much already knew everything so we didn’t have to teach him too much but I told him that he needs to start living the life that he wants and he started to cry and told us that he knows we are sent from God because that’s exactly what he wanted to hear and what has been thinking about a lot lately. He also had a dream that his father is waiting for him to do something and we told him that you can do baptisms for the dead and he loved it and wants to be baptized but has to change a few things in his life in order to be baptized. Super cool!!!!
On Saturday we had lunch with the Peruvian that always takes our photos and sends it to you guys and after that we realized that we had 2 pesos left for dinner, on Saturday and on Sunday and breakfast on Monday. I got real nervous. We had no more money literally nothing. And to make things worse on Sunday our lunch canceled and so we had nothing to eat on Sunday. Around 7 in the night we passed by a member’s house and shared a lesson and they asked us what we ate for lunch and we said we hadn’t had anything yet that day and they got super sad and made us chicken and potatoes. We were just going throughout the day praying that someone could have given us some food to eat because we were starving!!!! But we kept working and had faith that someone would give us some food and they did. The amount of blessings we receive is out of this world. On Thursday night I made some calls to all of the people in my district and one of the companion ships proceeded to tell me about how a girl came over to their pension and ate with them and how they had spent the whole day with them.
I dropped the cane super hard and they got emergency transfer and I have no idea where they are but we got two new elders in our district that are super dope. I knew one in my old zone. Super stupid missionaries that invited a 16 year old girl over and who knows what they did. But good week, miss you
guys so much. Love you all!!

Wow. Where do I start?? Best week yet!! Tuesday night Hermana Basnight went home. She had stomach issues and was messed up upstairs so she went home and got help and is doing great I'm sure. She got in a little tussle with President and he realized that she is a little loca. Wednesday was great,
I forgot to tell you last week but Elder Bednar came and gave Buenos Aires este, oeste,  norte, y sur and gave us a talk and we could ask him questions and it was just unreal. I didn't ask him anything cause I was super scared to get up in front of everyone. I saw all my buddies from the MTC and Kade Kofford from alpine as well as Alec Pedroza! small world.           Thursday we were doing service pulling and moving sand like always and mixing concrete and all of a sudden a little monkey came out of no where and started to look at us. I grabbed a cookie and it came and grabbed it out of my hand. my mind was blown. Lets say I'm an animal person now. While we were working this giant lab came and started to play with us, we named him duke. I want a dog now. He's awesome he's got two baby dogs and they all were so cute and every time we pass by we talk to him for like 5 min. Elder H. saw his first zombie dog and I thought he was going to cry hahah. He said it looked like walking dead dog. Funny.
Friday we had zone conference and Pres came along with the aps. super good lesson and we ate really good chicken. My zone is pretty legit.
Now it gets interesting!!! Later that night President had to interview la flia vallejos. My fam! And he said he wanted me to baptize him and that it was super important and so Pres let me go
on saturday and baptize him!! His wife got baptized by Elder Benegas. It was such a cool experience!!! It took like 20 bucks to get up there cause its so far but it was so worth it!! We got there and it was amazing to see the ward again and talk about whats going on and all that stuff. It was such a spiritual experience when I started to walk into the water with him. And when I started to say "having been commissioned by Jesus Christ I baptize you in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost, amen." Super super awesome. He came up and just gave me a giant hug and said thank you so much for sticking with us!! They were so happy!!! Such a great day!!
           S
unday was super great but in the last song of sacrament meeting we were singing "God be with you until we meet again" and in the middle of the song this old guy just passes out and falls into the walkway! All of a sudden everyone stops singing and someone yelled and I honestly thought he died!!!!! haha Kinda funny but he was fine he just lacked a little sugar. This week was super spiritual. We didn't have much success but we said a few prayers and like 1 min after we found some guy that wanted to hear us and he could speak english perfectly. Elder H was pretty pumped for that!! He cant speak spanish at all hahah but he's learning. We played futbol with some kids in the villa and got wrecked but it was super funny and I told someone that I'm from argentina and they believed me until I started to speak in English to Elder H!!!!! hahahha great week still hotter than cat litter but thats okay. Stepped in dog poop a lot this week and I'm not okay with it.
Love ya,

Hello from down South. Nothing interesting here other than it's extremely hot and I'm super fat. haha. I'm starting to run again with Elder Harrison so hopefully we will start to lose a little bit of weight. A few days ago we found an apartment but we have to wait 3 weeks in order to move in because they have to send the contract to Utah and have it signed and sent back. Super dumb. Elder Harrison and I have been working super hard and have almost gained the trust of the members. We are starting to do visits with them and they are starting to work with us.

haha Wow I have a bunch of funny stories this week. First. I hate grass. Mother and Father I thank you for making me cut grass with a lawnmower and really wish I had one right now. The sisters called us and told us we had service at this old lady's house one day and told us that we were going to cut some grass. Not that much but it might take a little while. So we get to the house after walking about 30 blocks a little tired and find a giant open field and a pair of scissors sitting against the wall and the sisters looking a little worried. I asked what the medium sized scissors were for and they told me to cut the grass. I freaked. So we started to cut about the size of our back lawn but much taller with a pair of dull scissors. 5 hours later and a wicked tricep workout we finished. hahaha It blew my mind that the sisters thought it would be okay if we cut the whole field with a pair of trimmers. What idiots.

The next day we had another service project cutting grass but we had a weed wacker so it only took like 30 min but after we ate the best meal I've ever had from this Peruvian lady. Rice with a bunch of veggies and chunks of meat on top. Holy rat feed it was amazing!! The food here is soooo good I eat so much and Elder Harrison eats even more. He's going to be so fat. hahaha. Also something kind of funny but not that funny was I fell really hard on my bike in front of a bunch of girls. I felt so embarrassed especially with my modern warfare 3 bike helmet. Luckily Elder Harrison wanted to have the camo one but still its so ugly. Everywhere we go everyone makes fun of our helmets. We had a photo shoot the other day so there are pictures inbound.

So our area is bigger than Texas and long story short we started to bike for like 2 hours knocking houses on this dirt road out in the GOONIES haha and we came across the ocean.... hahah my mind was blown we got hit with like a mountain of humidity and thought we were coming across a lake and all of a sudden it opened up to a giant bay and beach.... we also came across 4 pleasant meth and mary jane smokers who were pretty stunned that we were there. But turns out my area has beach.

The sisters had an explosion in church yesterday and one of them layed an egg and freaked out like belle when shes angry. I was pretty scared. other than that everything is pretty chill.

Anyway good week and thanks for the emails. I miss the cold.

Woah where do I start. First off lets just start by saying that bed bugs stink. I have like 55 bites now all over my body. It first started on my feet and i had no idea what was wrong quizas like a bug or something like that idk! Then they started to come up all over my body and it itched so bad! But ill give a brief history of this week:
Tuesday we got to the offices and were looking at all the new missionaries thinking to myself how much they don't know and how good the food is that they are eating (first day lunch) and at that time they started to finish up and bring their plates to the kitchen and all of a sudden someone I know walks by and I told him to stop and he turned around and what do you know. It's Elder Jaden Harrison. haha What a crazy sight to see. We started to talk and he asked if there was a slight chance that we could be comps and I said I had no idea and elder Fickes our AP walked by and asked us if we knew each other with a weird look on his face and we said yeah and he walked away smiling. So in the reunion they started to read off names of new companionship etc etc and they read my name and I walked up to the front and then they read elder Harrisons name and I freaked out! So pumped!! He's super chill and all of the other kids were super wierd. So after that they told us they were going to give us a remis or taxi to get to our area cause its super far away but ending up we had to go in bus for 2 hours but the connecting bus never came so at like 10 we called a taxi and paid for it out of pocket. The pension is absolutely disgusting and super small. Like super super small!!! The first night we went to bed super late. like 11:30. We had to but our beds on the floor and pretty much sleep on the floor and I thought elder Harrison was going to cry. I almost did too. We were just left to die. In the night I almost died from heat and same with Elder h.
The next day we cleaned the bathroom because it was an hasco (gross) but didn't have much time because we had district reunion. I talked about being examples for the world and how we have to always be representatives of Jesus Christ. I talked about a few other things too. In my district is me Elder H. Elder Beril from Canada Elder Loosle from West Jordan Elder Bench Missiouri Elder Erenada from Chile and Hermana Lopez from Brasil and Hermana Basnight from Washington dc. Woah I did not know being a district leader was so hard. There are so many calls you have to make and questions you have to answer and you always have to obey like with exactness for every single thing. but i also like it because it makes it a little more interesting. So I was blessed with Hermana Basnight. 30 years old and just a great person..........
On a side note elder harrison woke up on Saturday with a face that looked like rocky. His face was swolen and he couldnt open his eye so we went to the hospital and sure enought he had an alergic reaction and got a shot on his butt which was super funny cause he doesnt speak much spánish almost nothing. But now he's fine. But they diagnnosed me with bed bugs and after herrmana nunez and the assistants and pensionares came to the pension and we did a deap clean. It was super gross. Like so gross. My new name is the de greaserizer. hahahahah super funny. Mom thanks for teaching me how to clean. Sorry I wrote a ton but now I'm doing a lot better. Hopefully we find a new pension because we live 30 min away from our area and its small and we need to be in our area. The barrio is reallly good they are super nice and the food is good. It's really rich and we work on bicis my butt hurts really bad. We are working hard and are going to have two baptisims here soon I think. But everything is good thanks for everything.

Love you all

Hello family wow this week was great. Holy rat feed its so hot I'm going to die. I can't do the humidity more!!!!!! Luckily there's more rain now. This week we found out that the flia vallejos are going to be married the 25th and want to be baptized the 26th!!! Super cool.
We had a noche de hogar with them and I cooked hamburgers. They were actually really good. After we left around 9 and started to walk with the other two elders and my comp stopped in the most dangerous part and looked at me white in the face and told me he was going to poop his pants. haha I didn't know what to say I told him we had to make it to the pension in order to do it because there aren't any members or anything for this street or close. So we started to walk more and about 2 min later he stopped looked at me and put his hands where his butt is and told me he pooped his pants!!! What!!!! I couldn't believe my mind literally blown. hahah I was dying of laughter and I thought elder benegas and fernandez were going to die of laughter. Luckily I had some toilet paper in my bag and I told him to go into the bushes and wipe himself and then we have to go because its super dangerous. Before he gets to the bushes he poops again and takes his pants off and is about to cry and I yell at him to go behind the bushes because there's people watching so he goes behind the bush and takes off his shoes and his pants and wipes oh my I was laughing so hard. He was laughing too he didn't know what happened it just happened.

I found out that I'm going to train, whitewash which means a new area where the two elders have no idea, And I'm going to be district leader. Whatttt are they thinking hahahha. I'm opening a new area up in berisso, la plata este. Should be really interesting!! 4 elders and 2 sisters in my district. One of the sisters is from rio de janero.
Honestly I'm really pumped and excited for this week!!! Love you all and Maddy put my skis back where you found them or else I'll call the police- thanks for the videos keep them coming. Love you.

Wow what a great week. There wasn't a day under 30 degrees which is like 90 degrees at home. So fun hahahhaha. But we worked like mules in the Andes mountains this week. I really tried to push Piaggio to his limits. can go almost forever right now I can walk as far as needed and my feet don't hurt but he is super tired hahhaha.
We found a ton of people and walked all day almost everyday except for lunch and dinner. Found 2 new investigators and have a bunch more citas (appointments) with other old investigator. From old Elderes. Also we are going to have a baptism the 15 of February!! Por fin! (Finally) I
t's really hard to baptize here cause no one is married but they are going to take out turn this week! One of the days this week we literally walked all day in the sun 37 degrees the hottest day of the week which is 101 with humidity out of the wazoo.
Around 18 hours we started to walk to a birthday party and found a lady with a wheelbarrow putting sand in it and taking to the back of her house and she was super pregnant. We asked if we could help and 3 hours later we finished with blisters all over my hands and dirty clothes. But I have never been so happy in my life!! Literally I was so tired and my comp too but I said a small prayer too help us help this lady who needed to put 3 meters of sand before the night was done because if she didn't all the neighbors would come and take it all. after my prayer I swear I felt someone helping me put dirt in the wheelbarrow and carry it a ways to the back of her house. It was Such a great experience. I don't know why but the more tired I am because we worked really hard the more happy I am. It's weird. Also we got to go to the temple this week!
Oh my its so pretty! It was such a great experience. The baptismal font is soooooo amazing. I cant describe it!! Sooo pretty. When you guys come to pick me you need to go do baptisms there! Honestly this week was so good but I'm sweating like a Christmas ham in the oven. My comp doesn't know how to clean or how to work like yard work but slowly I'm teaching him. Still squeaks like a middle schooler but oh well hahahha. Miss all of you so much!!!! Love you all

Love you-

Hahha dad oh man you let the dogs out didn't you. you have to keep them on the chains just a tad, just enough to pull them back before biting a little human. so sorry to hear that....  not I'm in the same boat! I'm dying here hearing about skiing and the snow. Oh how do I miss the snow. It's been so hot that I've turned to putting my head in the freezer and running and jumping in bed where there is ice and water already laid out as well as i put my pillow in the fridge 30 min before bed time. I'm dying here.
On Tuesday it rained harder than any of you can possibly imagine. Almost had to scoop water out of the pension but we made a barrier. So much rain. New years was great we ate more meat and more rice potato mayonnaise pea mixture as well as more pan dulce. I climbed up onto the roof of our pension to watch fireworks go off and it was super fun! I miss you guys so much though! New years wasn't the same with skiing and drinking hot chocolate. Instead I'm drinking straight ice. This week was really great though! My new son is from Buenos Aires Este and is waiting for his visa to come so that he can go to Salt Lake, Utah. He'sit of a doug but that's okay. He doesn't like to show me his garments so he's always wearing a t shirt and shorts and he dies from heat everyday. I don't think he likes looking at me sprawled out like belle in my mesh.... he worked in the temple before the mission and has every blessing and prayer thing memorized and knows a butt load about the gospel but doesn't know how to tie a flipping tie. Also he takes 4 years in the bathroom and if he blows his nose one more time I might hurt him. hahhaa jk hes great really great.
This week was pretty dang spiritual. We had a lesson with some investigators the family vallejos. They have been to church twice and want to be married and baptized in the church. In the middle of the lesson he said he needed to say something to me and I thought it would be something bad like he killed someone or he is part of the drug cartel.. both we've gotten btw... but no he shared this experience. He was sleeping and woke up in the middle of the night panicked because literally they had 20 pesos left. He's without work and his car is broken hes a taxi driver so literally he has no options left. He goes to the bathroom and kneels down and prays to God to know what he should do.. I think his first prayer ever... and he feels like he doesn't get an answer so he goes to bed. He said he was dreaming and that he was at the temple gate not sure what he was doing there when he saw god standing with his arms stretched out wide almost beckoning him to the temple but didn't know how to get there. At that moment of alarm he said that he felt two people pushing him in the direction he needed to go towards god. he said he looked to the left and saw me smiling at him pushing him on the shoulder as well as Elder Tippetts on his right. He said he knows this church is true with all of his heart and knows that we are sent from God to preach him what he needs to know so that he can serve a mission with his wife later on in his life. Ahhhh I was bawling! I've never felt the spirit so strong in my entire life!!! It was amazing. and then they gave us lunch the next day and it was something I cant really describe.... they call it guiso its like noodle soup with meat but this meat wasn't meat. They must have taken it off the dead dog on the street or something cause it smelled and had so much fat and broken bones that my comp almost puked hahahhaahha. I ate it all though. I don't know how. Maddy I used your drink technique and have it down! I just say that I love juice and they give me a bunch!!! hahaha.

This week really was one to remember! Spanish is coming along great! I have to lead out every lesson and its hard but I think I know more Spanish than I think I do, just need to practice and now I have to because piaggio doesn't speak a lick of English!
Love you all thanks for all the emails and cant wait to talk!!

Wow what a great week!!! It was so good to talk to all of you! It was very needed haha. I miss all of you so much!! I want to go skiing tooo hahahha so bad. So for Christmas we had an activity after we skyped and it was super fun.- We ate hamburgers and played futbol. It was really fun actually. Came back and made some pizza and listened and watched fireworks with the other two elders. The next few days were pretty chill. Saturday the ward asked us to come to a ward activity and after play futbol with the old members and we invited some of our investigators and they all came because no one denies futbol. hahah It was super fun and I was super sore yesterday! Sunday was great all of our investigators came to church and we had a good lunch as well as an activity for Tippetts in the night because he left this morning! Guess what!! I'm training.... holy I'm so nervous! But excited too. Pretty sure its a shunky which is a white boy ahha. So I'm pretty pumped! tomorrow he comes around 5 and also I'm with an elder from australia elder kavea he's huge and plays rugby and is super super dope. Nothing much has happened since skyping but I'm super pumped for this week!! Love you all

Hahah wow thanks for all the emails about snow everyone.... I'm dying of heat here. I poor ice water on my bed every night and sleep with a gatorade frozen solid with a t shirt wrapped around it like a baby and I'm still hot. It's almost 100 percent humidity right now because its been so hot and now its about to rain really hard today. I miss you all so much!!! and skiing tambien.
We worked really hard this week! My feet hurt really bad and my shoes are finally taking a toll. It's a really good thing that I'm bigger than everyone here because a drunk guy tried to rob me yesterday. He wanted my tie and my backpack but I told him not to touch me and gave him the bulldog belle stare and he left me alone. And then I yelled nachhooooo. hahaahah no chiste but he did try to rob me and I did do that stuff menos the nachooo. I had to go to florencia varela for my dni which is like a card that says you live here etc etc and guess what I saw!! a roberts. grandma can finally come here now!! haahah
Our investigator finally had her baby and it's so cute and they came to church for the first time yesterday and it was awesome. They are a family of 4 falta marriage but after that they are going to get baptized. We were teaching them the law of Chasity on Friday night and heard screaming outside and looked and there was a guy out there beating his wife. The wife was holding her own though she got a few good bunches in but he was a little bigger. No one did anything but this other girl!!! No guys helped. Unbelievably. He was drunk out of his mind and finally he grabbed a big rock on the ground and was going to kill her and then a woman with a baby stepped in front of him and told him to leave and he did. I was so close to going out there and killing the guy. It was brutal to watch and really sad.
Other than that everything is chill here! I cant wait to skype everyone this week!!!!! I really cant wait! Christmas doesn't feel like Christmas here. Everyone gives me pan dulce which is this bread stuff with these little gummnies in it. Everywhere we go. hahha It's pretty good though. I'm getting fat and everyone talks to me about it!!!!! Oh well hahaha miss you all and love you all!

Hahah wow this week was super great... it's so hot I can't function but everything is great! I miss all of you so so much!!
Saturday we went to a party at the church for birthdays and 5 of the dads got bored and went out and started to play football so the 4 of us went out and played against them. They were goofing around and then I got a goal and it went downhill from there. pushing, cleating, and anything else you can think of in order to win is what they did hahahah Hmno Cantero mission lider for our ward is amazing and he got almost every goal. We lost. I'll send a picture of the end results. I got pushed down into the mud because it was raining and got all dirty. Don't worry I washed my pants and shirt when I got home but it was super fun!!!
Sunday night we had an activity of the stake and we sang a Christmas song. It was really good!!! I was really surprised. and President came so everyone was looking really good haha its really funny whenever president comes everyone gets looking real nice. Today we had the district activity but we invited everyone. We cooked hamburgers and played soccer and ping pòng!! I was in charge of cooking and got a applause from everyone for how good it was. Thanks mom.
Overall it was a great week!! Cant wait to talk to everyone for Christmas!!

Wow what a great week! I can finally eat everything now!!!! This week we worked really hard! So many things happened but I'll just share a few stories!
Friday we were with a member doing visits and went to a investigators house to talk to him. His car broke and elder tippetts I guess used to be a mechanic or something so we helped him. He needed a part so we went to this store like 10 min away. hahaha This guy on a moto got absolutely just I don't even know how to explain it. He was going 90 on a 15 and ran a red light and got thrown off his bike. Guess who was the first to the scene. me. hahahha he had a 4 inch hole in his leg and was screaming every swearword in spanish that i know. I calmed him down but it was super sketchy. Ambulance came and picked him up I hope he's okay.
Second story. Friday morning we had service at hmno camperos. he said we need to throw this pile of bricks up to the next level of his house about 10 feet. These bricks are different though they are bigger and weigh more. So I got to work I would throw them up and tippetts would catch them at the top. For 2 hours we did this in the blistering humid sun. At the end we were sitting inside and talking with them and I said that I bet I threw around 200 bricks up there. The hmna said oh no elder there was 400 of those bricks that you just threw and they each weigh 35 pounds. hahah I still cant move my arms. It's so hot too. I'm always sweating.
I got my camera though!!! finally!! elder sandberg saved us though because the one package they opened was mine in front of him and I guess they don't want electronics from other countries and the people flipped and ran to get the security but he just grabbed it and ran out of the office!!! hahaaha He says when he gets back to Utah he's going to come over and eat with you guys he's one of my best buds here. He's the pensionary but hes always doing stuff with us.           Church is so so true. I was reading in Joseph Smith history this morning and I think its verse 35 but not sure. It talks about how people wanted him to deny the visiona and the Book of Mormon but he talks about how he knows it and God knows he knows it and that he can and never deny it. I can't deny how true the Book of Mormon is. I just finished it in Spanish! My Spanish is coming along really good. everyone thinks I'm going to train next transfer which would be really cool! sounds like everyone is good back home! belle with dances and maddy with her boyfriend!! sounds like a party. colts video was hilarious!!!!!! hahaa i was dying!!! love you all! only a few more weeks until we can chat!!

Wow what a week hahahhaa another great week. No not really but its fine.
          M
onday was great we played soccer etc etc
But Tuesday was brutal. I was throwing up all day and President found out and so he came and got me and took me to his house. Wednesday they took me to the hospital and I got blood taken. They let me go home Thursday. The weekend was great. It's been really really hot. We can't do anything much because Elder Tippetts can't leave the bed. But yesterday we had a huge family home evening with like 4 families. It was really great!
Yesterday I gave a talk about faith. It was pretty good I felt good! My Spanish is coming along finally!!!! yipee. Today  I'm feeling fine now but last week I couldn't eat. I think it was flu or food poisoning but they want to make sure its not parasites or something else. The only good thing about all this is that I've been with Pres and his wife everyday. I've eaten in capital with president like 4 times hahaha. No one gets to do that ever!!!!! Super dope. All I want to do is get back to work!!!!! I'm so sick of sitting around studying. Also Elder Tippetts dad said that he will send my letter to you guys as well as a gift for dad. Sorry I would have sent him with more if I knew he was going to be taking back a suitcase for us. Shoot. anyways great week.... hahaha can't wait to email.

Wow what an interesting week haha.

           After we emailed
on monday me and Elder Tippetts and the other moron elders went and played futbol with some ninos at this little concrete court next to Rosalia's house. It was super funny and super fun. We played for like 3 hours straight. I had so many blisters but it was so fun. We started off us 4 elders against 5 ninos but sooner or later it added up to 15 so I was a captain and this other little chavon thats super funny hahhaha. I actually played pretty good. I think I'm gonna join a rec team when I get home. All of a sudden when we were playing the darkest rain cloud I've ever seen started coming inbound fast and all the kids at the same time sensed it and just started to book it home. We are like what the crap. 5 minutes later the gates of hell were opened and the ocean was dumped on top of us. Literally it was raining harder than that one tournament in Idaho a while back with the Taylorsville kids when it rained for 5 minutes a few inches. This lasted for 7 hours. Me and Elder Fernandes decided to brave the buckets of rain dumping down and go get yeast and flower and cheese for pizza to make and I thought I was gonna have to carry him back from the store. I had my boots on which are unbelievably amazing and completely water proof up to the shin and my coat on and I didn't get wet at all other than my pants but i gave him my umbrella and he just got soaked up to his waist. the next day was like flooding pretty much. It was crazy. I put a few photos of the first of the storm after that we couldn't really go outside.

          T
his Saturday we had a capilla abierta open church and it was really good. We got tons of references and it was good to see the people from my district and zone one more time before transfers which are today. Me and Elder Tippetts are staying together one of the other Elders from Tommy flowers is leaving and pretty much everyone else from my zone is gone or training here. Crazy. Yesterday I said the closing prayer having no idea I was going to say it. Haha obispo got up at the end and announced I was saying the closing prayer and stunned me pretty bad but he winked at me and sat down. i think it was pretty good idk.

Interesting facts about Argentina:
First theres this thing called ciesta. It's where everyone literally everyone goes home and has lunch around 12 or 1 and then has a nap from 1 to 5. Literally every day. The streets turn into a ghost town its really dangerous because only the sketchy people that want to rob are out during that time cause no one is out unless they need to buy something really bad, So they have money. It's really hard to preach here because from 1 to 5 no one is outside and no one will answer the door because everyone is asleep or eating. Also everyone has gates here. So if we want to contact someones house you sit outside and clap until they hear you. Also no matter how poor you are everyone has a dish network satellite sitting on top of the house. everyone has TV here. and everyone has a cell phone even if you don't have enough food to eat. It's really messed up.

Also this week we were in papa fransisco the super sketchy villa visiting a few members and all of a sudden there was a massive strike in the road. They lit the whole road on fire and were going bezerk with drums and everything. hahhaah It was sooo gnarly. Also I haven't had any money this week which was really humbling to be honest. The mission gives us 20 pesos for food a day mas o menos. Equivalent to 2 dollars. And I had to buy a bunch of stuff for the pension and am waiting for reimbursements so its been really tough. The good thing is that members feed us lunch and then we don't really eat anything else until the next lunch. And bread here is like 10 bucks for a kilo of bread and its super good fresh bread. So I eat a lot of bread. But honestly I love it here. the people are so amazing and I have lots of really good friends here in Tommy. Can't wait to talk to you more!

Wow this week was really good!!

To be honest I've never worked so hard in my entire life. O
n Monday our p day we moved two moving trucks of crap into a members house for like 5 hours in the blazing sun. Here its like 85 degrees but the killer is the 95 percent humidity. It's getting hotter and hotter. It will be really hot for a few days and then the earth literally starts to sweat and then it pours really really hard and fills up the sanjas into the streets. It's pretty gross but we pray for rain hahha.

So we had tons and tons of lessons and service this week but I'll just tell a few stories that are kind of interesting. I had zone leader inter cambios
on Tuesday and he showed me how to do a bunch of paper work stuff. His name is Elder Orellana from downtown San Salvador. He's a straight boss. Anyways we were going through old investigator sheets and we both got the prompting to stop and look into it more. Her name is Marta and she's like 70 yrs old.

We go and visit her with a member and shes a straight angel sent from heaven. Also she has the fattest dog I've ever seen. Everyone has a dog here. She ends up telling us that shes known the gospel was true for a long long time but she couldn't get baptized cause she is living with her husband. He had a wife before but got divorced but the lady was crazy and wouldn't sign the divorce papers. Here is death till we part or sign the paper so they've been waiting for her to die. hahaha. She died a week ago. So it was super cool. She is ready to get baptized and same with her husband like the day after they get married. and they really want to go through the temple. haha It's crazy shes a capa.

We finally got a refrigerator and stuff for the pension so finally I took everything out of my suitcases and it feels really nice to be organized. The pension is super sweet!!

My hands are covered in blisters and same with my feet. The bottoms of my toes are just covered but I've never been so happy in my life. We did service for this guy who lives in papa fransisco Saturday for 5 hours in 90 degree weather hitting rocks with a hammer to make them smaller so that he can plant plants. Here when it rains the earth literally soaks up the rocks haha its really funny we did the exact same thing before a rainstorm a few weeks ago and we came back and all the rocks were under the dirt... super weird.

This morning I woke up and did some wash, cleaned some shirts etc and made some matte and my peanut butter and went out on the patio in the shade and read Mosiah 27 to Alma 14. Such power in those chapters. I find myself able to sit and study hard for 3 hours at a time with sips of matte every 2 minutes. It's really cool to be able to just dig into the scriptures and stay focused. There is a crazy bird lady that lives next to us with tons of birds and its really relaxing to listen to them. I just sat there after my study and thought of all the blessings I've had in my life. a great family, a country that is fundamentally sound and has good structure with rules and guidelines etc etc. money to eat and do the fun things of life. We are truly blessed. Honestly this was one of the greatest weeks of my life. I cant wait for next week! Sorry if I cant respond to everyone that wrote me. its a little tough to write everyone. Love you all have a great week!

Wow this week was unreal!!

          Best week yet. So M
onday we went to a museum for district activity and got pizza so that was super fun I sent mom a picture. We had a bunch of lessons this week, like a ton. Almost a record for this area. It was a little bit of a crazy week tambien (also) because we had to move pensions. It's really hard to do everything cause the missionaries kinda are lazy but we got it done. Our pension is really really sweet now. It's called a duplex there are two pensions right next to each other so they are separate but when you need something its like 5 steps to the other elders pension. There was some problems with the other elders. So elder cortes my columbiano left me. He's awesome its the other elder that's retarded and just about ruined the ward. So we got a new elder his name is fernandes from cordoba. He's also pretty copado (cool/sweet).

So there's a inactive family with a 9 year old kid that wants to be baptized, so we are teaching him as well as trying to get the family to get back to church. He is kinda chubby and he talks exactly like the baby elephant from Tarzan. It's really funny I was dying. This family also loves futbol so we always play with them. Volleyball is popular here so its pretty fun.

          T
his Sunday we had 8 people that aren't active or investigators come to church!!!! 2 families and a 9 year old. it was amazing. One of the people bore his testimony too. last night we had a family home evening with like 27 people hahhaha 4 families. We played uno and added a few rules so that it was super confusing and funnny. Then taught that the house should be a house of order and a house of God. and that we need to be organized and teach faith and read and pray with the family. D and C 88 119. super super fun and then we took pictures after. Everyone loved my camera hahha. I really need more of those picture things.... (He has a Polaroid camera, and needs film)

Funny stories this week...
We have a bidet. A toilet looking thing that shoots water up and cleans you. I had never used one before and had no idea what it did so me being me just pooped in it. It's the first time since I've been here its been solid and not diarrhea. well... What I didn't know is that you had to poop in the toilet right next to it and then wash yourself with the bidet. The APs were there helping us and it was really funny. I had to scoop it out and put it in the toilet cause the poo had no where to go hahha. funnny.
Almost got hit by a horse too. A big one.
For some reason there are GTI everywhere here. hahah. So many VWs. I see my car everyday.
So here its 3 days warm and then it rains really hard because the heat warms up all the water and then it rains. And then it gets really really cold. I am so grateful for my sleeping bag.

I really need some more white socks, pictures of the family and me like baseball my crazy hair, etc mostly family pictures, and more of those picture things for my camera.
Well this week was super super good. Belle, I thought of you on Saturday. No one does anything here for Halloween. Jake your birthday is coming up too. There isn't anywhere in my area to send letters internationally, so sorry. Maybe my next area will. Only 2 months until we can see each other over skype. I love you all so much and can wait to hear how this week went.
Love,

Wow this week was awesome. We taught a ton of lessons and walked and did so much crap I can't even comprehend how tired I am at night. I made it a goal to talk to everyone I see usually just hola buen dia or something like that but it has really helped.

My spanish is coming along its really hard because there are so many words here that have different meaning and all sorts of stuff. We found a new pension thats super super copado. We move in
this Friday.

We have one 11 year old girl that lives with her sister who is a member. Her mom died and the dad abused her but she wants to be baptized. We've taught her everything but we just need to get permission from President. We have another family with super young parents like 28 year olds with two really cute little girls as well as another on the way. They invited us over one day and wanted to be baptized in 15 days after the first lesson. The lesson was soooo powerful I loved it. They are awesome two super good people. We have a bunch of menos activo because the missionaries a few years ago told everyone that they would get money if they were baptized. They did that to get more numbers and now everyone is inactive. Pretty much they don't know what the Book of Mormon or Joseph Smith is because they just got baptized for the money. So that's our goal is to bring a bunch of people back to the church.

We walk and talk with sooo many people but its awesome I can honestly say I love the people. It's been really really cold ever since I got here we are in early spring and its super cold. I wish I would have brought that sweater thing from north face because I would fit in and it would be perfect. I wear a sweater or coat everywhere. Nights are super cold as well as mornings because our pension stinks and has a draft all the time but the sleeping bag is straight money. Shoes are great other than my 100 blisters but thats just cause we walk up timp everyday pretty much ahhaha. But this week has been really good. I've eaten a ton this week. I'm starting to save my money sorry dad hahha.

We eat lots of spaghetti, chicken legs and wings, churri pan which is sausage, rice mash, potatoes, and then the occasional mystery food which is always fun. The good thing is that each person gets a small loaf of bread every meal so you can rip some off and mix it with the gross stuff. But the food is overall pretty good. Oh yeah tons and tons of eggs. I hate eggs.

I don't know why but there are horses everywhere here. They are trained like dogs though. It's crazy. I see 10 yr old boys riding horses like its nothing. Pretty crazy and dogs everywhere but that's a given.

So money stuff. I can't find a good camera anywhere thats reasonably priced so you're gonna have to send me one. It can be pretty nice is just has to be fairly small. Like my camera with the other smaller lens would have been perfect. Something pretty nice and cool but small. So you're gonna have to send me one. Sorry. This countries electronics are so messed up. Also we play soccer all the time, can I buy some soccer shoes?? I talked to everyone and they said I wish I would have bought  soccer shoes, a jersey, and a few other cheap things that I could get for a few pesos. soccer shoes here are 1000 pesos so 100 bucks. I'll try and find some cheaper ones. I went to the bank earlier and pulled out 2000 pesos which is 200 bucks. That's all that was on my card. So I have money I'm gonna live off that for a while.
Also I bought a matte cup thats pretty copado. hahah I love matte I drink it every morning and night as well as after lunch. It helps with all the meat we eat. Everyone says that if they didn't know that i was from USA they would think I'm an argentine. hahaha.

I love you all so much and miss you so so much. I'm so glad mom got to talk with Rosalia this week. She's awesome. I have an hour from right now to talk so everyone write. Love you all.

Hola sorry can't talk long today, only one hour.  It's been really crazy day. This place is super hard to use cards. I guess you have to bring your passport to the place when you buy it. this place is retarded literally. haha.

So this week has been really good. I have had many crazy experiences that I can't really tell you haha. But all is good. The members really trust me and my comp and its been really good. We have lunch almost everyday with members and they give us many referrals. We got one family to come to church again they were menos activo and it's really hard to get them to come to church. So that was really cool. We have a little girl that needs to get interviewed for baptism and then she will. We also have a family with the dad is baptized but the mom and two kids want to be baptized so that's really cool too. The food here is awesome and gross at the same time. there are these little shops on every calle that sell these things called factoras. They are like little donut type things more like a croissant. They are amazing. they put dulce de leche on top and some kind of yellow fruit thing. I'm addicted. as well as these things called tortas fritas. Sooooo good. I can already tell that I'm going to gain a lot of weight. Haha I do push ups and sit ups every morning but that isn't helping much hahaha. we have walked sooo much this week. Even elder tippetts is sore. We are in the villa all day everyday which is really scary but that's where all the members live and all the future investigators usually are. anyways this week has been really good. Love you all and miss you so much. Like so much. but i have to be here right now. oh yeah we are in walmart right now.

It's hard to take out money here. And im trying not to use as much money but its really hard when im hungry a lot. So maybe a little I'm gonna try and take out some right after we leave but its really hard. The area is really really really poor.  I'm in one of the poorest areas. We don't even have sisters in our area. The only one without sisters in the area. It's just too dangerous. But we are protected for sure. The sunsets here are really pretty. On wednesday it rained harder than i thought possible and there is no drainage here so it such got in the sanjas and brought up the sewer everywhere and it was disgusting but those boots we got were money. Cause we make houses and bbqs and all sorts of stuff so its really good to have those boots.

Hola!!!
Hows everyone doing? So I have so much to say but this internet cafe really stinks so I hope it all gets to you. First day was really hard. It was a complete culture shock and I felt awful. second day we woke up and went to district meeting and went and shopped at coto which is like a walmart down here. Got some stuff to clean the pension up a little.
Actually this country is really sweet!!!! I already love it. The people have absolutely nothing and yet they still care for the church and love the savior so much. It's so hard but its pretty fun. There are these things called villas here. They are really poor villages that crazy people live in as well as a lot of the members and future investigators. Last night we went into one pretty late and and got held up by this drunk guy who hates america and said if we come back he'll kill us and all sorts of stuff. But in the end we talked him down and he just walked away like nothing happened. haha. crazy. There's sangrias everywhere which are the sewer things on the side of the roads. It always smells everywhere. there are zombie dogs on every road that attack the people on motos ahhah. They don't mind us too much.
Hmmm what else. We wash our own stuff and there are not many members are in our ward. But we are getting everyone to participate really good. We've had a bunch of lessons with members and they feed us. My comp and the other elders in our pension think that I will eat anything. I've really worked hard to eat anything that the members give us Because they have nothing. So I've changed a little. Some elders don't think its good to have street food but I love it! I always eat steak sandwiches and tortillas and tortas. The tortillas are really thick like pita bread but its way better.
I had matte con leche last night and almost hit my breaking point. I was throwing up in my mouth every drink and everyone thought it was hilarious. Today we went down to la plata a nicer city and we went to the cathedral of la plata. It was super super pretty and cool inside. We went to the top in an elevator and it was super pretty. Love you all I hope some of you are on. The internet connection really stinks though. love you

WHAT DID I GET MYSELF INTO.... im in the scariest sketchiest place ever. we were looking for my pension for like 2 hours last night. im okay im safe for now. the mission president sent me and elder tippits my trainer to tomas flores a really sketchy place and we are doing a white wash. we are both white and we both have no knowledge of this place. the last elders didnt do much and he got mad at them. last night we just chilled we got to the pension at like 9 oclock. i was so tired. i already got chased by a pack of pit bulls and german shepards and got split by two buses. im okay my trainer is awesome i need to you to but a bunch of money on my card so i can take a lot out. otherwise it takes like 10 bucks from us everytime we take out money so my trainer has been paying for everything but he is really cool and seems pretty well off. we are at the church in the middle of a ville which is a really sketchy place. anyways i hope someone is on love you all.

Word Bank:
Pension-In South America missionaries eat lunch and dinner with Pensionistas or Pensions. Pensions are usually a family who provides food for missionaries as a sense of income.
White wash- When the mission President sends two Elders from the United States to one specific area.
Ville- Slum or rough part of town.

Thank you for sharing Elder Lee with our mission.  We appreciate your support and also the fact that you have a son who wants to serve.  We will take good care of him!  God bless you.
Sincerely,

Hermana Evans

Como esta? Today was really cool! (Sunday) I have a really stuffy nose though. Started out pretty normal pero I got asked to say the Sacrament Prayer. That was hard in Spanish. We sang as a district a sweet choir song. We mixed God be with you till we meet again and See you again by Wiz K. It was super cool. The devotional was by Lloyd Newell, Abi's dad. We did "MTC and the Spoken Word". His voice is cool too. After that we saw Meet the Mormons. Everyone cried at the missionary part and sung Glorious by David A. Super gay. I almost cried at the skiing at Snowbird part though. I miss you guys so much rn. I am trying to only speak Spanish for the next few weeks. 2 more weeks!
Love you all,
Elder Lee (10:21pm)

The gospel is so true, theres no denying it. People struggle with having faith in things they cant see. (Hebrews 11:1) it's crazy I've been gone three weeks.
Love you all!

Week 2 flew by!! I swear its going by too fast right now. I want to be really prepared when I get out so I don’t want to leave which is weird. This week I’ve been running around the temple each day in the morning. I’ve gained like 10 pounds haha. This food is wreaking by bowels. But this week was good. This next week we get a new district leader and zone leader so that should be interesting. Life is good, I’m having a blast and my roommates are hilarious! Can you send me some laxatives?

Miss you guys so much and love you all

We had a great devotional today/ district meeting and it went amazing. I bore my testimony at the end and cried because I love this gospel SO MUCH!!! The spirit was so strong at the devotional. Bishop Causse or the Presiding Bishopric gave us an amazing talk. After his talk he played "Come come ye saints" on the piano. Sooooo amazing! Everyone was crying. Miss you sooo much and love you all.

First fast sunday was awesome. Elder Hayden asked for a blessing this morning and right after I did it, he said his throat stopped hurting. Pretty cool. Not eating was really hard. Guess what dinner was... Cordon Blue. Ew. So mad. I bore my testimony in Spanish to my whole zone in Sacrament. It was really hard. Thought you guys would want to hear how my day went. Love you guys!

Everyone should read Hebrews 11! It emphasizes your learning on faith. Faith is mentioned 20 times in Hebrews and 20 in Ether 12. Pretty cool. My roommates and I laugh about an hour a day and are having a blast! (I guess he wears cologne in the MTC)

Whats up family? Ive been in the mtc for 3 days and all i can say is im glad i took so many hard classes in high school and all that spanish. Its studying and speaking 24/7 but honestly im liking it so far. My spanish is slowly getting easier and easier so thats pretty cool. The spirit is so strong here. I bet you guys want to know about my companion. I got blessed. Hes Elder Pingree and he wrestled and played football in High School at Syracuse. Hes pretty cocky and has humility issues but overall hes a good guy. We seem to get along pretty good.
The first day was hard leaving all of you but it got better once i started to get into the swing of things. The first meal was steak and mashed potatoes that was the worst meal ive ever had but since then the meals have been decent.
The second day was really hard. My pen exploded in my Shirt pocket and honestly it was one of the longest days ever. But I was assigned district leader which is pretty cool.
Thanks for the cinnemon rolls. They were amazing. Can you send me a 12 pack of MTN DEW?? That was the only way i stay awake. MOM i love you and hope you are doing okay. I NEed like 4 more short sleeve shirts size 16. The 16 and 1/2 is made for someone who ways 400 pounds. haha Ummm my camera stopped working for some reason. The lens is broken or something so you are going to have to send me a new lens. Its for a nikon J4 like think that extends to take the pictures;. that attaches to the camera. Like the interchangable thing.. Love you all and hope your week went great.
